Fox News

One of the unfortunate things about living overseas and being associated with the military is having AFN television. Don’t get me wrong, they do a great job of trying to get the latest shows for us. But my biggest bitch is the news channel. It seems to be predominately FOX. At least while I’m watching.

I can’t believe that people actually watch this back home and yet I’m told it is very popular. Their news is so biased towards the right that they have no idea what the left is doing. But that’s not the worst part. The newscasters they employ couldn’t get a job any place else. All looks, and no brains. This morning was a good example. One girl in the studio talking to another at the runway at the Oscars. Then the reporter called in another woman who had some sort of diamond studded sandle. For what? Is this news? Giggling, and trying to look good. The anchor had enough collegen in her lips to make them stiff. She could talk, but not much else.

There are others too. Bill O’reilly is a joke. Rates right up there with Rush. Geraldo Rivera has no more credibility than a rock. He’s a joke. He was thrown out of Iraq once. Why they let him back in is beyond me unless they want to use him on point. He’s been a joke since his fiasco with the Al Capone vaults or whatever they were. Hey we found it, OOps, no we didn’t. Oh, well, folks at least I got the ratings.

I’ve talked about this with AFN, and it appears that FOX will stay. I just think it will be funny if a democrat is elected to the white house. How their stories will change. Now that might be fun to watch.

Obviously this clown is far left. He wants to listen to CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, ETC fawn over Obama. It is a shame you are overseas and have to associate with the military. Most military people I hear and talk to are grateful to hear another opinon other than the Drive By Media. Fox News gives positive feedback about the military just the opposite of those this opinionated individual’s new sources generate. We had a few of this type during the Vietnam War who were so entharalled with mainstream media as they tore the military to pieces during that time. I know I was their. Your darned right it is popular they at least give a balance view. O’reilly was never thrown out of Iraq. Way to go Rush, Geraldo, Hannity really give this clown something to gripe about. I know this is old news, but I just had to get my two bits worth in.

Far Left? Not hardly. Just someone that has some sense. Fox is the worst of the worst. Oh, and being in Vietnam makes you an authority? Gee, I was there too. That was run just like these wars. By the politicians. O’reilly wasn’t thrown out of Iraq, but Rivera was. Giving locations during a news cast? That’s really smart. Did you conveniently forget that one? I guess he needed it because he couldn’t find Al Capone. Most of the news are slanted one way or another. Fox just happens to be so far right that it’s ridiculous.

Your opinion makes sense mine doesn’t, to you maybe, you might want to check out how many of us way out far right people watch Fox News and I guess all of us who do will have to live with your opinion and possilbly be checked out by our local shrink to find out why we can’t just mold our way of thinking to yours. I agree with you on one thing that both wars were run by politicians who didn’t generally know beans about any of it. I’ll take Fox and O’Reilly, Hannity, Beck everyday of the week. You are welcome to your opinion I believe that is why we were both in Vietnam and I in Korea and China Service. Freedom of expression, Freedom of choice even of what we believe to be right. I wish you the best even if I do not agree with you or your opinion.
